Miss Squiggles is not, ever, fully capable of relaxing. She makes lists when doing Yoga. She wakes up at 3 AM, checks her emails and even replies (lucky you). She has a co-working desk for when she finishes her full-time work.
I am a modern workaholic cliché. I am not proud. I am not ashamed. It’s just me.
Relax, well-being and just taking life easy makes no sense whatsoever.
So when I was invited for a comfort zone treatment at my beloved Mercure Hotel in Cardiff, I was excited yet quite scared. Will I be able to relax? What? Is that a 75-minute treatment? I could feel anxious already.
#But I know the Mercure. I love their SPA facilities, newly refurbished bar and I have had the pleasure to dine at their amazing restaurant countless times. It’s the perfect place if your idea of working out is sweating in the gym with your PT and then have a drink in the bar upstairs relaxing with live music.
It’s the best place for the modern, lazy gym girl who doesn’t want to be judged if she trains and then wastes (wastes?) all those burnt calories on gorgeous nibbles, canapés, and champagne.
It’s the perfect place to try the new comfort zone and have an all round Friday evening comfort experience.

Miss Squiggles Loved the Treatment!
The treatment was a beautiful body massage with hot salt stones; a nourishing, exfoliating yet deeply relaxing experience. It’s difficult to find a treatment which is both relaxing and detoxing. This double action massage made my skin feel amazing. The best thing was that it was not oily at all, skin was clean and soft afterwards. The massage was also followed by a beautiful facial which left my skin looking visibly cleaner and healthier.
Our comfort zone experience was followed by a beautiful wine tasting and dinner courtesy of the lovely staff at the Mercure Hotel where we were treated to a variety of canapes and gorgeous courses.
We had the chance to meet other bloggers, guests and enjoy a relaxing night learning more about Comfort Zone and the Mercure Hotel.
By the end of the night, we felt ‘comforted’ and ready for a great nap and no, no emails were checked before bed.
A huge thank you goes to the wonderful staff at the Mercure Hotel and SPA Naturel for organising a fab evening and having the Squiggles team over. We truly had an amazing time!
