Hello, hello and Happy Weekending. It’s been a little while since our last post – we could collectively blame a long list of committments, the ebb and flow of life’s errands, a series of unanswered messages in the abyss of our Whatsapps or, instead, relish in a (rare) quiet weekend which, for me, looks like extra time to do what I enjoy and share our weekly saved posts.

With autumn in full swing, we’ve been embarking on a series of ‘news’. From the cocktail spot in Soho to the women’s wellness series to the autumn interiors spot to add to your list, you’ll hopefully find a little something to add some novelty to the season ahead. While the new year new you concept in January is extremely daunting, the next few months – and the excitement of fresh trench coats, crunchy leaves and firework displays – pose the opportunity for a little refresh. Think of it as adding to the pile of good things in your life as opposed to completely overhauling your physical, mental and emotional self. Now thisis a concept we can truly get behind.  Whatever you’re up to this weekend, have a good one.

Autumn Drinks –  Have you ever been on a really good date? I emphasise the really good because, if you’ve been on one, you will know exactly what I’m talking about. Perhaps you grab an early evening drink, the conversation flows for hours and you wish there was an opportunity for some late night cocktails, a little something to eat and an elevated, more special, setting. Enter Kamara.

A few weeks back, we were invited to Kamara’s Press Night and I remember saying to my sister – this is where you go to begin your night or when you don’t want it to end. Conceived by the founders of Brother Marcus, it’s no surprise that this location is so special and fills that perfect spot in the heart of Soho with a truly unique offering.

With an incredible cocktail menu (and a small, but perfectly formed, wine list), a selection of mezze and small plates (we loved the fried chicken, smoky muhammara and Greek Graviera) and gorgeous interiors (hello terracotta everything), this is a great spot to add to your list for after work drinks, date nights and everything in between.

Sunday Service –  A few weeks ago, a friend (who is much cooler than me) and I popped to Kat Chan’s Full Serving Session at Salt London. The event – which consisted of a series of wellness talks and Q&A style sessions – focused on seasonal strategies for energy, beauty and balance. With so much noise in the wellness industry at the moment (it’s so easy to get something wrong, use supplements that don’t quite work or not fully appreciate the effect of our daily habits), a single event which distils so much knowledge in a single (full!) serving is a big win in my book. I would have attended for Kat’s knowledge alone but with great speakers, an incredible location (Salt Hair London is on my list for my next hair appointment) and a very generous goodie bag for a very affordable ticket price, this event is firmly in my list of favourites. Consider me officially signed up.

The Interior Spot  –  If, with the colder months and more time spent at home, you find yourself re-evaluating all your interior design choices, you’re not alone. This is why, lately, I’ve been a little bit obsessed with Treowe in Blackheath. With a number of finishes, fabrics and homewares (as well as cards, gifts and the most aesthetically pleasing walls of candles you’ll ever find), you can really feel that the space is the product of an interior design studio with each detail carefully curated from the entrances to the tablescape and the furnishings. They also organise events (wreath decoration / wine tastings) so this is one to add to your list to make this Autumn feel a bit more special.

Promise we won’t leave it so long next time.
