Happy First of September! How have we almost made it to Autumn? We always say how September feels like a new start, time to think about changes we have been wanting to make for a while and accelerate towards our goals ahead of the Christmas madness. This year, more than ever, we’re all feeling like we need a fresh start, structure and simple pleasures to look forward to. We have decided to compile our top three as we sit back with a cuppa feeling refreshed from the long weekend. What are you most looking forward to this month? Write down your goals and let’s motivate each other!

Saying Bye Bye to Imposter Syndrome – As we begin to fill our long forgotten 2020 diaries with zoom meetings, catch-ups with friends or notes on our next career move, we like the idea of scheduling in some self-care time for ourselves and our personal development. Imposter syndrome is something we all know too well and after almost half a year spent cooped up inside, it’s likely most of us are feeling hesitant about returning to normality. For this reason, we can’t wait to spend an evening in the company of Warrior Women discussing all things imposter syndrome. Brilliant company, £5 a ticket and tips to silence our inner critic? Sounds like our cup of tea.

On the subject of scheduling….Yes, of course we’re looking forward to ticking goals off our list and getting back into a routine but why not also add something to the diary to look forward to? We like the idea of booking a little city break/spa trip towards the end of September perhaps in Bath for the beautiful architecture, plenty of walking, a spa treatment or two, a few dinners over vino and some interiors shopping as well. It may all be a little ambitious to squeeze into a weekend but do send any recommendations our way. If you need some UK travel inspiration, we have been loving Chloe Jade Story for dreamy content that is a stone throw’s away.

A little detour… – Before we fully embrace the season of cosy knits and indoor cappuccinos, we vow to make the most of local spots to visit outdoors. We’ve been loving Forage Farm Shop lately for delicious food, country air and the cutest farm shop we ever did see (buy the focaccia, you won’t regret it!). This is a lovely spot to take the kids too with a newly built play area and opportunity to (safely!) run around whilst mum and dad enjoy an espresso and a slice of cake.

Happy start of September – may this be the month we go after what we want with a little more intention whilst also remembering all the simple pleasures we learnt during lockdown. Wishing you a fabulous (short!) week.

Love,

The Squiggles Team X
