To choose the right creative job, let alone, the right creative career path is not a straight line.

Surely, you could graduate, find a job in your industry and live happily ever after. However for some of us (most of us, really), it’s not that simple and options could be endless: you could graduate and not find a job in your sector and, why not, go do something else.

You could not graduate, take a sabbatical, find the job of your dream and then change your mind and decide to go back to uni to study some more. You could just be so fed up with your current work that you just decide to take a leap of faith and start your own business (been there!).

Wherever/whenever you are in your life, in your career path, this new section is for you, dear creative minds. We are launching a new section where we will share our favourite creative jobs of the week; remote, London- based or anywhere else but London and just from some of our favourite companies, projects or organisations out there.

Senior Audience Engagement Manager @ V&A

Who doesn’t love the V&A? Last time, we went there the Balenciaga exhibition was on and it was brilliant. Now, they are looking for a Senior Audience Engagement Manager, it’s more marketing than anything but they say they are looking for someone who will be an expert: “on data-led customer marketing and communications, driving innovation, optimizing customer journeys, and growing consumer engagement and revenue. The post holder will shape and lead a multi-site audience engagement strategy across the V&A’s family of sites in South Kensington, the transformation of the V&A Museum of Childhood in Bethnal Green, and the development and opening of two new V&A sites on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park for 2023.”

Senior Lecturer Photography @Cardiff Met

That sounds like the dream job for photographers based in Cardiff and, perhaps, anywhere up to an hour drive away (maybe it’s just me, I need to be back to feed my tortoise, guys.). Apparently, this is “a key post that will contribute to the ambitions of the University’s Strategic Plan 2017/18 – 2022/23. The Cardiff School of Art & Design (CSAD) seeks to appoint an exceptional person with teaching and research interests in photography and lens based media. This post will be part of the team leading and developing a new programme in BA Photography, in line with the unique transdisciplinary School structure.”
